NKRI is non-negotiable : Indonesia Remains Intact

Positive thoughts and beliefs have a powerful impact on our lives. When we look towards the future of Indonesia, especially as we approach the political year 2024, with the conviction that our nation will remain united, safe, and peaceful, it not only creates a sense of optimism but also motivates us to act in line with those beliefs.

Indonesia remains intact. The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia will be safe and sound as long as the Indonesian National Army (TNI) remains true to the red and white in their veins. We entrust them with safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of this republic.

Thus far, we have not heard any complaints from the TNI regarding the defense of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

“NKRI harga mati” — NKRI is non-negotiable, isn’t that the steadfast motto that we firmly hold onto?

In 2022, the Central Statistics Agency (Badan Pusat Statistik or BPS) recorded that Indonesia had 17,001 islands.

Regarding the possibility of other countries wanting to divide Indonesia to control its natural resources, this can be a complex issue. Most countries strive to maintain good diplomatic relations with other nations, and attempts to break up a country often contradict international legal norms and principles of peace.

However, natural resources can indeed be a factor influencing relations between countries. Indonesia possesses a wide and abundant array of natural resources, such as oil, natural gas, coal, gold, and many others. Therefore, there is a possibility that certain countries or business entities may have an interest in accessing and managing these natural resources.

Yet, for sovereign nations like Indonesia, preserving territorial integrity and national sovereignty is a top priority, and attempts to break up the country are generally not accepted. Moreover, such efforts often face resistance from the international community. International agreements and cooperation are often better ways to manage transboundary natural resources than attempting to divide a nation.

It’s important to remember that geopolitics is a highly complex and evolving field. Each specific situation will depend on many factors, including international relations, government policies, and political dynamics at a given time.

With thousands of islands comprising the archipelago known as Nusantara, it is indeed challenging for other nations to assert control over Indonesia as a whole because there is no single large island or peninsula that can be dominated to govern the entire territory.

As long as the Indonesian National Army (TNI) remains faithful to the principles of the “red and white,” which represent the national flag of Indonesia, the honor and sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia will remain intact and well-preserved. This reflects the TNI’s commitment to safeguarding and preserving the territorial integrity of Indonesia while upholding the nation’s freedom and sovereignty.

The unity and spirit of nationalism among the diverse ethnic groups and communities living in Indonesia also play a crucial role in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty. This is one of the factors that make attempts to divide Indonesia more challenging.

Furthermore, the song “Nusantara” by Koes Plus is one of the most popular songs in Indonesia and is often used as a symbol of unity in the face of cultural and geographical diversity in the country. Through this song, the Indonesian people celebrate the richness of their culture and the natural beauty of the Nusantara, emphasizing the significance of unity in diversity as an integral part of their national identity.

Positive thinking can influence our actions. If we believe that peace and unity are strong values in Indonesia, we will strive to maintain harmony among different ethnic and religious groups and promote constructive dialogue in the political process. This thinking can also inspire active participation in elections and community involvement in the democratic process.

Furthermore, a belief in the unity of Indonesia can be a source of strength for the entire nation. It can unite us in facing any challenges, including political tensions or conflicts. When we believe that the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is non-negotiable, we will work hard to preserve it and contribute to the sustainability of our nation.

Thus, the idea of “You are what you think about!” reminds us of the essential role of thoughts and beliefs in shaping our reality and how positive beliefs can help create a better future for Indonesia.
